Moe Football Netball Club 2025 Coaching Announcement

Senior Football Coach – Leigh Poholke

The Moe Football Netball Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Leigh Poholke as Senior Football Coach for the 2025 season and we welcome Leigh, his wife Erin and children Judd, Zane and their soon to be born third child to our club.

Leigh comes to us following a three year tenure as playing senior football coach of the Sorrento Football Netball Club who compete in Division 1 of the Mornington Peninsula League.
Leigh has an exceptional playing record as a 190cm key forward having played 14 seasons of football at Sorrento including 237 games with an impressive tally of 774 goals during this time. He has been a WorkSafe Victoria AFL Victorian Representative player for four consecutive years from 2012 to 2015 and is a much respected figure throughout the MPFNL and within the Sorrento Football Netball Club.

Leigh has strong ties to Moe having spent his formative years growing up in the town before moving to the Mornington Peninsula and his father Tracey still resides in Tanjil South. We are wrapped that Leigh has been able to reconnect with his roots and return to his town of origin to continue his stellar footballing career.

At 31 years of age, Leigh has a lot of good football left in him and is determined to make his mark on our club and league as a senior coach by implementing standards and game plans that have been developed over his outstanding football career to date.
